Reward Offered in Ironbound Murder PDF Print E-mail

NewarkEssex County law enforcement authorities today posted a cash reward offer for information surrounding the murder of an Ironbound bar owner.

Sheriff Fontoura stated that the Crimestoppers program would pay up to $5,000 for details that lead to an arrest in the blunt force homicide of Eduardo Torres, owner of the Happy Hour Café on Warwick Street.

The victim, age 66, was robbed and beaten to death outside his tavern before 10:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011.
