Reward Offered in Newark Murder Case PDF Print E-mail

Newark – Law enforcement authorities today posted a cash reward offer for information about a Newark homicide.

Sheriff Armando Fontoura stated that at the request of Acting Prosecutor Carolyn Murray the Crimestoppers program has offered a cash reward up to $5,000 for details that lead to an arrest in the murder of Vince Franklin, age 49, who was fatally shot shortly after midnight on April 2, 2012.

The victim had apparently been walking past 600 South 13th Street which was the location where his lifeless body was discovered. Franklin worked in the food services department of New Jersey Institute of Technology.
