|Rewards Posted in Two Newark Homicide Cases|
Sheriff Armando Fontoura stated that the Crimestoppers program will pay up to $5,000 for details surrounding the separate shooting deaths of Shawn Hall and Kenneth McLean.
Sheriff Fontoura said that Hall, then age 19, was struck by gunfire from a passing vehicle as he stood on the sidewalk at 413 South 19th Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 11, 2012. At the time of the shooting, Hall was conversing with his mother who sat in her parked car. The victim’s mother was also struck by the gunfire.

Police believe the gunman may have been casing the Chicken House and a nearby ATM machine on a mountain bicycle.
