Reward Offer: Unsolved Newark Homicide PDF Print E-mail

NewarkEssex County law enforcement authorities today posted a cash reward offer for information surrounding the death of Melvin Williams, age 43, whose charred body was discovered on Rose Street across from Woodland Cemetery last Wednesday.

Sheriff Armando Fontoura stated that the Crimestoppers program would pay up to $5,000 for details about Williams’ death that lead to an arrest.

The victim, resident of Irvington, was last seen on Sunday, April 18th in the area of Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street in Newark.
