Cash Reward Offered for Suspects Wanted for Armed Robbery

BloomfieldEssex County law enforcement authorities today announced a cash reward offer for information that leads to the arrest of suspects wanted for a series of armed robberies at gas stations throughout Bloomfield and other communities.

Sheriff Armando Fontoura stated that the Crimestoppers program will pay up to $2,000 for details that lead to the apprehension of the suspects.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, approximately 35 years old,

5’ 7” to 5’ 9” in height and wearing a full pointy beard. He and his accomplice are wanted for three armed robberies at gas stations on Bloomfield Avenue. Two of the armed robberies occurred on May 17, 2011 and the third on June 20, 2011.

During the June 20th robbery the same actor was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a dark baseball cap. Both suspects operated a gold-colored Dodge Stratus during the incident.

The two men are also prime suspects in other armed gas station robberies that have occurred in Newark, Maplewood, Irvington, Nutley, East Orange, Linden and Union.
