Newark – In response to neighborhood complaints of drug trafficking in the city’s South Ward, Essex County sheriff’s detectives last night recovered two loaded handguns and a bag of marijuana.

Sheriff Armando Fontoura stated that officers from his department’s Bureau of Narcotics observed several males loitering in front of 120 Seth Boyden Terrace at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The men were detained while the BON detectives conducted a search of the immediate area.

As a result of the search, the BON detectives discovered and seized two, fully loaded, semi-automatic handguns, a 9mm, Interarms Ultrastar and a defaced, .40 caliber, Hi-Point Model JCP from a barbeque grill on the south side of the building and a black plastic bag, containing 30 grams of marijuana, from under the jungle gym in the playground.

A criminal records check of the loiterers was conducted and two men, Enrique Addison, age 20, and his brother, William Addison, age 21, both of Hillside, were found to be the subjects of open warrants issued by the Newark municipal court and arrested.

The Addison brothers were lodged at the Essex County Correctional Facility where they await a hearing in Newark municipal court.
