Reward Posted In Newark Homicide Case PDF Print E-mail

Newark – Law enforcement authorities today posted a cash reward offer on the one-year anniversary of a homicide.

Sheriff Armando Fontoura said the Crimestoppers program would pay up to $5,000 for details that lead to an arrest in the shooting death of Brandon Ellis, age 25, of East Orange who was fatally killed by multiple gunshot wounds at 7:30 p.m. on November 27, 2011. The murder occurred in the area of South 11th Street and 13th Avenue in Newark.

According to police sources, three men arrived at the scene of the shooting in a black, late model Audi. The suspects exited the vehicle and fired their weapons at Ellis who was pronounced dead later that evening at University Hospital.
