Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS)

The CJIS Section supports the Sheriff’s Office operations as well as other law enforcement agencies, the U.S. military and certain non-government agencies. It provides this support by performing the following functions:

Computerized criminal history inquiries
Record checks and other criminal background checks using a state-of-the-art records management system
Inquiries into the NCIC, MVC, FBI and other state and national databases
Local criminal and traffic warrant inquiries
Investigative searches of RMS
