Garnishment and Wage Execution Unit
Garnishment and Wage Execution Unit
This section of the Civil Process Division facilitates court-ordered garnishments against a debtor’s wages.
A writ of execution is served upon the defendant’s employer and the employer is required to forward payment to the Sheriff’s Office. Once received, payment is recorded into computer files and applied to the appropriate account.
Administrative personnel also calculate all fees and commissions and coordinate monetary payments to attorneys assisting the court in civil matters.
Upon satisfaction of the judgment, wage execution writs, documenting case status, are returned to the court.
