Warrant Processing
Warrant Processing
The Sheriff’s Office receives approximately 12,000 Superior Court bench warrants every year. The BCI completes a preliminary background investigation and creates a case file on each warrant received. The case files include fingerprints, photographs and pedigree information about each wanted person. These case files are turned over to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for further investigation and apprehension of wanted persons.
All warrants are entered into the Sheriff’s Records Management System as well as state and national databases
